This part is for the factory water-to-oil type oil cooler that sits between the engine and oil filter and is a direct replacement to WRX and STI vehicles which were fitted with an oil cooler from factory. If installing onto a vehicle without a factory oil cooler you will need to change your water pump to a three port model and purchase additional coolant hoses.
